I often find wildlife when I am not specifically looking. While in Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, hoping to see bears, something caught the corner of my eye. My peripheral vision alerts me to things I don't "see" when purposely looking. This bobcat was intently watching me. It allowed me to photograph it for about four minutes, and listened as I whispered to it. Then wandered back into the woods as I quietly thanked it for its gift to me. Another visual delight from the Outer Banks area of eastern North Carolina.
