Artist's Description
The solitary bare tree on the shore demanded my attention. Using a low camera angle, it stood proudly above the distant treeline. Lake Laura is a 44-acre impoundment located in Shenandoah County of Virginia, near the West Virginia state line. For the artistic effect, I recorded infrared light, rather than visible light. This technique renders blue skies very dark, and foliage and bark nearly white.
