Description
A young female American Black Bear (Ursus americanus) appears to look expectantly from behind grasses at Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in eastern North Carolina. Black bears are constantly looking for food and will spend up to eight hours a day foraging. They’re vegetarians for the most part, and feed primarily on berries and nuts.
