Description
Lily Pond, on the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire. Mid-afternoon in mid-September. This image was made with a camera that was modified with an 850nm filter, recording infrared, rather than visible light. Characteristics of this technique are the appearance of very dark skies and near white foliage.
