Artist's Description
Fellow photographer Dan Waters and I inspire each other by going out together to make photographs early each Friday morning. Bundled against the January cold, I found this tuft of grass in the pond as we explored Roanoke Island Marshes Game Land, on the Outer Banks, near Wanchese, NC. The still water reflected the colors of the clouds and sky, moments after sunrise.
This image won the First Place award, Wild Plants category, in the "Wildlife in North Carolina" 2014 Photo Competition.
