Artist's Description
The Virginia Dare Bridge, over Croatan Sound, connecting Manteo on Roanoke Island, to Manns Harbor on the Dare County mainland. Outer Banks, North Carolina. This photograph was made with a camera modified to record infrared light above 850nm, rather than visible light. White glowing foliage and a dark sky is characteristic of infrared photography, creating a surreal black and white image.
