Description
A willow tree in the Pungo Unit of Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in eastern North Carolina. This photograph was made with a camera modified to record infrared light above 850nm, rather than visible light. White glowing foliage and a dark sky is characteristic of infrared photography, creating a surreal black and white image.
