Description
A juvenile European Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) eating a mealworm from a feeder in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Starlings are common at feeders across North America and much of the world. They are noisy, and very aggressive to other birds moving on on "their" food. Starlings are often form large flocks, coordinating their movements the the flockmates nearest them, in a giant cloud called a murmuration.
